GOP Establishment Not Learning From 2008 or 2012 Defeat

The GOP establishment's political tactics caused their loss in the last two presidential elections, as well as seats in Congress. They feigned compliance with the Tea Party movement, but then when they lost, used the Tea Party as the scapegoat – not realizing that their establishment mentality and non-compliance with Republican Party traditions and political platform – not promoting constitutional law was the real reason why they lost support. The establishment backed their poster boy, Romney, instead of someone sincere and since the 1980s never changed his belief in upholding the Constitution as the framers intended. By throwing Ron Paul under the GOP bus, they also threw away a growing movement of Americans who want to see true reformation and the kind of “change” that steers the United States back to the path of a constitutional republic.

Allen West wrote an article that shows that the GOP, like its nemesis the DNC – refuse to see that their political mindset is faulty.

The GOP establishment is funneling $50 million to support establishment-friendly Republicans in next year's congressional elections and saying that their mantra is: No fools on our ticket; which means they have not learned their lesson nor are they listening to the conservative-constitutionalists that make up the Tea Party movement and followers of Ron Paul. Former Republican congressman, Steve LaTourette is among those fighting Tea Party instead of the DNC. 
No wonder he is a former congressman, choosing spineless moderate Republicans over constitutionalists. 

Imagine Waiting 74 Minutes for Police After 911 Robber Call

Now you know why the framers of the Constitution created the Second Amendment [one of the major reasons] - try as they might, law enforcement cannot get to a crime scene in time to save lives.
However - In the recording of the 911 call, when the dispatcher asked again what happened, I could make out that he said there was a shooting. Why the 911 dispatcher did not tell the responding police officers is beyond my comprehension.

Weapons of Choice: Weatherby

Weatherby is a name of trust and quality. It all began in the middle of the 1940s when Roy Weatherby decided to change the world of firearm performance. The tradition was heavy bullets were better and Roy believed that lightweight bullets traveling at super speeds were best for one-shot kills.

In the 1950s, Roy used that philosophy and developed high-powered Weatherby Magnum cartridges that are still used today: .224, .240, .257, .270, 7mm, .300, .30-378, .340, .338-378, .375, .378, .416, and .460. He either re-chambered or produced rifles designed to use the super-charged ammunition. During that time he produced his rifles on FN Mauser and French Brevex Magnum Mauser actions. In 1957, Roy produced the Mark V, a well-known rifle of extraordinary workmanship.

Knockout Game: Hate Crime Only For Select?

I am sure that everyone is familiar with the violent act of the Knockout Game, which has primarily been black on white, until recently when in Houston, Texas a white youth gave an elderly black man a “knockout” punch that put him in the hospital. Conrad Barrett has been charged with not only assault, but by the federal government, courtesy of “Fast-N-Furious” US Department of Justice who has added federal hate crime charges.

Of all the cases, this is the first time the knockout game crime has been overseen by the Department of Justice and labeled a hate crime. There are numerous videos of people being video-taped committing the crime and several have been put in custody – but to date, not one of them have been charged the federal hate crime which is, if found guilty, imprisonment for not more than 10 years, fined in accordance with this title, or both. In March of 2013, despite Colorado majority public opposition, the Colorado Senate Judiciary Committee and State Senate voted to advance the most extreme gun control legislation in Colorado history. They voted to advance the following anti-firearm bills:

• House Bill 224: Bans magazines with a capacity greater than fifteen rounds.
• Senate Bill 196: Holds all manufacturers, distributors and owners of any rifle, excluding bolt action, they produce, sell or use, liable if that gun is misused to harm another person. [Note that the definition in the bill of an “assault weapon” includes a single shot or double-barreled shotgun and any break-open single-shot rifle as well as every semi-automatic rifle and shotgun].
• House Bill 1226: Repeals current law allowing individuals with a concealed carry permit to carry a firearm for self-defense on a college or university campus.
• House Bill 1228: Imposes a “gun tax” for a background check when purchasing a firearm. [Like Wisconsin does for handgun purchases]
• House Bill 1229: Criminalizes the private transfer of a firearm.

International Study Shows Gun Bans Do Not Reduce Crime

Myth Blaster: Door Penetration of Certain Ammo

So much bickering about what is best for "home defense" when it comes to ammunition, as well as types of firearms. One person insisted that having a .40 caliber pistol was better than a 9mm or .38 caliber because it could penetrate his steel-clad front door. During the argument I pointed out the danger of shooting through a door when one does not know what is going on the other side and reminded him that there could be return fire.

EPA Enforcement: Raising Consumer Cost Again

The EPA, arm of big government, has pushed their authority into the private sector again. This time it is the use of lead in bullets and shotshells. To be fair, the EPA petition is also targeting lead fishing sinkers in which they say has killed wildlife.

Problem is they are replacing the lead bullets and shot with copper, which is an expensive metal, just check the going price with local metal recycle center or examine how high electrical wiring has gone up. It is a push for "Green" ammo.

History of Door Peninsula

Legislation Alert: Tax and Spend Continues

Still in committee, the August 2013 HR 3018: Gun Violence Prevention and Safe Communities Act of 2013 intends to:

To amend the Internal Revenue Code of 1986 to increase the excise tax and special occupational tax in respect of firearms and to increase the transfer tax on any other weapon, and for other purposes.

If they cannot legislate away firearm bans, the sociocrats will tax it, like tobacco products, in order to prevent anyone from being able to afford purchasing certain products - those government officials believe citizens should not have or use. Like SUV, soft drinks, snack foods or whatever they decide next.
