Weapons of Choice: M1911 and M1911A1 and new M1911A2

If I am going to discuss the M1911, then I must introduce the genius of its design and several other types of firearms – pistols, shotguns, rifles, and machine guns.

John Moses Browning, January 23^rd 1855 to November 26^th 1926 was born in Ogden, Utah and was an American firearms designer who developed military and civilian firearms, cartridges, and gun mechanisms that are still used around the world. When it comes to automatic and semi-automatic firearms, he is still the king with 128 firearm patents credited to his name. He made his firearm at the age of 13 in his father's gun shop, and was awarded his first patent on October 7^th 1879 at the age of 24. Browning was a great influence in almost all categories of firearm design, inventing or improving the single-shot, lever-action, and slide-action rifles and shotguns; as well as pistol bolts and shrouds and pistol slides. He developed the first gas-operated machine gun, the Colt-Browning Model 1895. He also designed the M1911 pistol, the Browning Hi Power pistol, the Browning .50 caliber machine gun, the Browning Automatic Rifle, and the Browning Auto-5 that was an original semi-automatic shotgun. A Wall Street Journal columnist has advised people to "start stockpiling food" and an ABC News Report says

"there are worrying signs appearing in the United States where some ... locals are beginning to hoard supplies." Now there's concern that the U.S. government may be competing with consumers for stocks of storable food. "We're told that the feds bought the entire container of canned butter when it hit the California docks." (Something's up!), said officials at Best Prices Storable Foods in an advisory to customers. Spokesman Bruce Hopkins told WND he also has had trouble obtaining No. 10 cans of various products from one of the world's larger suppliers of food stores, Oregon Freeze Dry.

Wisconsin Legislature Passes Crossbow Bill for Hunters

Great news for Wisconsin hunters!

AB-384, the Crossbow Bill, just passed WI senate in a unanimous voice vote. The bill will go to Governor Walker for signing. 

No longer will crossbow hunting be restricted to people age 65 or older and/or handicapped hunters. Hunting permits will be established for resident and non-resident hunters as soon as the bill is signed and reaches the database so hunters can get their crossbow license.

No doubt this will increase the sales of crossbows, previously only able to use in target practice and prepper inventories.

Weapons of Choice: Armalite AR-10

In this Weapons of Choice series, I choose the ArmaLite Model 10 using the military standard 7.62x54 (.308 caliber) ammunition to comply with NATO ammunition standard policy. It is a more powerful model of the AR-15 model that was developed for the US military as the M16 rifle that fires the 5.56mm round, also a NATO standard.

The ArmaLite Model 10 [military auto] fires 700 rounds per minute with a muzzle velocity of 2,690 feet per second and with a telescopic sight has a kill range of 730 meters. It uses the standard 20-round detachable box magazine and has an adjustable aperture rear sight with a fixed post front sight.It has a flash suppressor that military models require in the AR-16.

Weapons of Choice: Remington Model 700/770 Bolt-Action Rifle

This Weapon Choice series selection is the Remington Model 700 and Remington Model 770 bolt-action rifles. It is also the first posting of this new site. Hope firearm buffs like it and also find some good products to purchase from this site.
