A Postscript for Britannia, From the Foxhole
This royal throne of kings, this sceptered isle, This earth of majesty, this seat of Mars, This other Eden, demi-paradise, This fortress built by Nature for herself Against infection and the hand of war, This happy breed of men, this little world, This precious stone set in the silver sea, Which serves it in the office of a wall Or as a moat defensive to a house, Against the envy of less happier lands,-- This blessed plot, this earth, this realm, this England.
[King Richard II, Act 2, scene 1 – William Shakespeare
It is
a strange and saddening affair indeed as once the island of nations
formerly called Great Britain are being subverted from within,
heading for a road of no return from 7th century mentality
and Sharia law.

Second Amendment Enforcement Act and 144th Annual NRA Meeting
Senator
Marco Rubio
(FL) and Representative Jim Jordan
(OH) introduced The Second Amendment Enforcement Act of 2015
in both the US Senate and House. The bills intend to restore the
individual right for law-abiding DC residents to Keep
and Bear Arms
to defend themselves in accordance with the law. It will allow DC
residents to purchase firearms from licensed dealers in VA and MD
without the draconian firearm registration system of DC.

In the News: State Legislation and National Firearm Topics (Mar 2015)
Florida [Palm Beach Post] … the Florida state senate approved a bill that
will allow people fleeing from disaster to carry their firearms with
them legally. The bill ensures that what happened during the
Hurricane Katrina disaster in Louisiana circumstance where national
guard and local law enforcement went house-to-house collecting
firearms and confiscated firearms from people leaving the area by
motor vehicle or boat – clearly a Second Amendment violation.
President GW Bush did nothing about it and the media ignored it. The
bill is heading for final passage in the House that gives people
permission to carry firearms without a concealed weapons permit for
the first 48 hours following a mandatory evacuation order. Once
citizens are housed in a shelter, firearm carry policies apply.
People will have to find refuge other than schools and public
buildings if they intend to bring their firearms with them because of
the no tolerance policies of those places.

Case of Desertion: American Justice on Trial
It is a fact that over the decades
American people have learned not to trust those operating OUR
government; and just as the mainstream media is tied into the
progressive movement, it stands to reason that it is “ditto” for
the world of so-called journalism.
Major broadcasts plastered National
Security Adviser, Susan Rice pictures and videos of her
explanation of the Benghazi incident as blame upon a video on
YouTube. It was the same when she praised US Army Sergeant Bowe
Bergdahl as serving “with honor and distinction” after he was
exchanged for five prisoners of Guantanamo Bay.

Tea and Currant Scones: A British Legacy in United States
The British left a legacy in the New
World – tea. Americans moved away from being tea drinkers while
colonists to coffee drinkers after the Boston Tea Party revolt and
American Revolution. The Tea Party movement (see also Tea Party Patriots) has been revived, evolved
into a pro-constitutional movement that promotes the return of lost liberties, economic freedom, sovereignty, repeal of income tax, and economic freedom. Tea is not dumped into the
Boston bay, but instead enjoyed in homes and restaurants across America.
Coffee is still huge in popularity in the American West, a tradition
continued by ranchers and cowboys (and cowgirls).
Sharia Law and Islamic Paramilitary Training Camps in United States
In January of 2015, World Net Daily reported there are 22 Islamic Jihad training camps
in the United States. In 2014, Allen West and the Religious Freedom Coalition reported that there are such a training
camp in Texas. The major media did not report any of it, neither in
2014 or presently. MSN
did report that a Muslim prisoner in Texas is suing over Ramadan
Observance. World Net Daily has been reporting about training camps for several
years now with the Examiner reporting that Muslims were
building Islamic paramilitary camps back in 2009.
Back in 2012, it was
reported there were 35 such camps operating inside the United States.
Recently, the report was 22 camps. I hope the number is less because some have been disbanded. Military magazine has also
been covering this story, complete with a video report.
Why has the mainstream media ignored
this disturbing information?

US Supreme Court Upholds Wisconsin Voter ID Law
The US
Supreme Court has upheld
the constitutionality of the Wisconsin Voter ID law that requires a
photo identification in order to vote. Hopefully more states will
follow to prevent fraudulent voting practiced by the Democrat Party
for more than 50 years. With Obama's unconstitutional amnesty and
back-door processing of illegal immigrants this is an important move
in deterring corruption within the voting system as well as
government. Judging from the background of the SCOTUS justices, it is
a happy surprise that they are abiding by their oaths of office and
protecting the Constitution and using common sense when it comes to
applying it to legislative actions.
Hooray for
Governor Walker and the Wisconsin legislature for standing up against
corruption. If voting becomes corrupted, which it has, it means that
legitimate voters are not being heard. Evidence points towards the
marginal lead in winning Election 2012 was because of illegal voting
actions across the nation, for example, dead people voting, those
with fraudulent identification voting, and people voting more than
once.
The Real Story of What is Happening at Our Southern Border
Maggie's
Notebook reveals a testimony by a Border Patrol officer that
served 27 years. In a report
in July of 2014, Mexican president met with Guatemalan president to
reach an agreement to make it easier for the illegal immigrants to
make there journey to the US from Central America. They rode atop
trains cross country to reach the US border. Our president has
cooperated with foreign countries against immigration laws that he is
supposed to and swore to uphold and enforce. I have said it for
sometime now, this is not a case of illegals crossing borders to
'find a better life' like the progressives whine about. It is about
invasion and that invasion is encouraged by Mexico because they are
teaching their children that parts of the US rightfully belong to
them. Actually it was Spain that established settlements and ruled over Mexico, Central America, Caribbean, and South America during its golden age of colonization and conquest.

H.R. 1105: Repeal the Estate 'Death' Tax
The following is an email petition I sent to my House Representative to vote to pass H.R. 1105, which will repeal the estate tax commonly known as the 'Death Tax'. It is a tax on property left for family upon death, on property that has already been taxed several ways. ...
Death should not be a taxable event. The Founders of our country believed this so strongly that they included a clause in the U.S. Constitution that forbids seizing an estate at death as a punishment for treason; it is unconscionable that the government now seizes up to 40 percent of everything a person leaves to his or her children as a punishment for achieving the American Dream. The House has a great opportunity to do the right thing by bringing H.R. 1105 to the floor for a vote before April 13, which will mark a shocking TEN YEARS since the last House vote on death tax repeal.I urge you to cosponsor H.R. 1105, encourage leadership to bring it to the floor for timely consideration, and to vote for it.

Heroes: Dakota Louis Meyer, United States Marine Corps
Dakota Louis Meyer, born on June
26th, 1988 in Kentucky, is a veteran of the US Marine
Corps and recipient of the Medal of Honor for actions during the
Battle of
Ganjgal, Kunar Province, Afghanistan on September 8, 2009.
Meyer's MOH citation:
For conspicuous gallantry and intrepidity at the risk of his life above and beyond the call of duty while serving with Marine Embedded Training Team 2-8, Regional Corps Advisory Command 3-7, in Kunar Province, Afghanistan, on 8 September 2009. Corporal Meyer maintained security at a patrol rally point while other members of his team moved on foot with two platoons of Afghan National Army and Border Police into the village of Ganjgal for a pre-dawn meeting with village elders. Moving into the village, the patrol was ambushed by more than 50 enemy fighters firing rocket propelled grenades, mortars, and machine guns from houses and fortified positions on the slopes above. Hearing over the radio that four U.S. team members were cut off, Corporal Meyer seized the initiative.

Wisconsin SB 35: Passes Committee and for Senate Vote
NRA-ILA photo |
Before I announce a landmark bill
passing the Wisconsin senate committee, I would like to make a point
about the Second Amendment versus those who think that if firearms do
not exist in public life there would be none or little crimes of
violence or accidental deaths …
Let us replace firearms with the
motored vehicle and what you would think if, in order to purchase a vehicle, because
they can be dangerous in the wrong hands, a person must …
- Wait for 48 hours to pick up the vehicle even though that person has a valid driver's license. Included in that waiting period is an extra fee to the state government for their time and effort of hindering your freedom.
- Motor vehicle cannot be purchased with a maximum speed of 30 mph., because the faster one goes, the more damage occurs.
- Fuel tanks on motor vehicles can only be five gallons, because the farther one goes there is a chance for bodily injuries and death.
- Only certain vehicles can be manufactured because the consensus states that certain vehicles make people want to do unlawful things.
- Only law enforcement and the military will be allowed to have vehicles that are beyond the aforementioned mandates.

Home Defense: .223 Caliber Ammunition
For a long time shotguns and handguns
were the traditional home defense weapon, although ranchers and
farmers often had a loaded rifle handy in case predators were
attacking chicken coops or spooking the horses and cattle.
Hunting rifles in large calibers, like
the 30-06, is not good for home defense because the rounds can go
through walls. The same applies to 7.62mm FMJ rounds like those used
in an AK carbine.
Tests have shown that the proper .223 ammo does not have any more penetrating power than pistol ammunition
when hitting residential building material. Thus, SWAT officers use
MP5 submachineguns or the M16/AR15 rifle/carbine. The Federal .223
hollowpoint 55-grain round drops most people with one shot, rarely
passing through the body.
The kick of the .223 caliber rifles is
nothing compared to a 12 Gauge shotgun, which makes it more
manageable (and lighter) than a shotgun. The AR15 rifle/carbine has
become popular with women shooters, thus it has been recommended for
those who want an all-round defense weapon. Of course, a pistol is
smaller and can be stored in a bedside table in a drawer. Like motor
vehicles, types and size of firearms is always a personal preference.

FN America Awarded US Army Contract
M240B |
FN has produced more than 2 million
firearms for the US Armed Forces since 1989 at the Columbia, South
Carolina factory. FN also produces M4/M4A1 carbines, M16 rifles, MK19
grenade machine guns, M249 SAWs and the MK-46 and MK48 machine guns.
The M240 series machine gun has been
used by the US Armed Forces since the late 1970s, mostly by the
infantry with modified models used for ground vehicles, watercraft,
and aircraft. It has been a reliable medium belt-fed machine gun that
fires 7.62mm (.308 caliber) ammunition issued with an extra barrel.
They are known for their quick-change barrel system when barrels get
too hot. It is usually fired from an integrated bipod, a vehicular
mount, or an M192 tripod. The updated M2 tripod is mostly used by the
US Marine Corps. It has a maximum firing range of 3,725 meters (4,074
yds) and uses a non-disintegrating DM1 or disintegrating M13 linked
belt. The rate of fire is 750 to 950 rounds per minute, a
gas-operated, open bolt system.

Controversy Continues Over Green-Tip Ammunition - Too Late, Already Banned
As you probably know, the Obama
administration, specifically the ATF, is considering
a ban on ammunition painted with a green tip. It specifically
applies to the AR-15 rifle. Their reasoning is that the ATF considers
it “armor piercing”, which was banned in the 1980s.
Before the consideration, green-tipped
ammunition was popular because it was cheap. Now 100
rounds cost $90.
ATF has announced it is accepting
public comment about the proposed change until March 16th.
You can send your commentary to APAComments@atf.gov,
or send comments by fax or postal mail.

Club for Five: Renaissance of Cappella
If you have noticed, this website is not just about firearms and gunsmithing, it is varied as are my personal interests and passions; with a drive to see reformation of our nation back to what made it a great nation - a constitutional republic.
Like the album title and feature song of Steve Perry, I was "raised on radio" and love music. I had the opportunity to take music appreciation classes at an early age and learned accordion and organ at the basic level. I also learned to appreciate classical music, as well as other genre like bluegrass, classical jazz; but went to sleep in my youth listening to the local Rock-N-Roll station, WLS. The love of country music came from my mother's liking to it. Among those classical pieces is Christian music like the vocal chorus of monks and later as Christian music progressed the organ and piano became the accepted instrument for solo or chorus accompaniment.

Wisconsin in the News
Our governor here in Wisconsin, Scott Walker, is a potential candidate for the primary campaign for
the presidential election of 2016. The Progressives [Democrats] must
view him as a threat because their media folks are trying to find any
dirt they can discover about him or make up from misinformation,
gleaned from facts. The only thing they can come up with was that he
did not complete college.

Saint Patrick's Day: March 17th Until 2060
Saint Patrick's Day, celebrated
on March 17th, in the dioceses of Ireland it is a solemn
and holy day of obligation and is officially called Saint
Patrick's Feast Day. The original color associated with Saint
Patrick was blue, but over time the color association changed to
green and green ribbons and shamrocks were worn in celebration of the
day was early as the 17th century. The phrase “the
wearing of the green”, which means wearing a green shamrock on
clothing comes from a song
of the same name.
Saint Patrick is a national day in
Ireland, but Irish in Europe have been celebrating it since the 9th
century; and later became known as the patron of Ireland. The Feast
Day was officially listed in the liturgical
calender in the Catholic Church, influenced by Luke
Wadding, a Franciscan
scholar in the early 17th century. A solemn ceremony in
the Roman
Catholic Church, it is a great feast day in the Church
of Ireland.
