H.R. 1454: Attempt to Control Commercial Ammunition

Democrats are relentless when it comes to controlling everything, depriving rights of majority for minority. They could not ban firearms in US Congress (but state governments have passed draconian, anti-constitutional and useless control on firearms), so now they focus upon ammunition; for without ammunition firearms are nothing. They pass or try to pass laws pretending they are protecting something; often it is about subjects that they personally know nothing about or even understand what or how the bill reads, like Obamacare (Affordable Healthcare legislation).

H.R.1454, The Modernized Law Enforcement Officers Protection Act of 2015 is a bill sponsored and co-sponsored by three Democrats: Rep. Jackie Speier (D-CA), who disapproved the Keystone Pipeline; Rep. David Cicilline (D-RI), and Rep. Carolyn Maloney (D-NY) – all whose states defy the US Constitution (especially 2^nd Amendment) and foster an American version of socialism to replace our constitutional republic.

The bill is presently submitted to the House Committee on the Judiciary where H.R.140, Birthright Citizenship Act of 2015 is also being considered, which establishes that persons born in US are not eligible if one or both parent is an illegal alien – although the bill does not state it pointedly. It is also where H.R.31, Prevention of Executive Amnesty Act of 2015 is being examined. The latter bill is sponsored by Rep. Martha Roby (R-AL) with no co-sponsors at this time. H.R. 31 is in the Judiciary Committee and the House Committee on Homeland Security. I mentioned these two other bills because of its importance interaction with present mess of immigration procedures by the executive branch and its importance toward national security.

H.R. 1454 is an attempt to modify the definition of armor piercing ammunition to better capture its capabilities.

Anyone who pays attention know that the Democrat progressive socialists are zealous when it comes to modifying anything; for example, changing their description from 'liberal' to 'progressive' and changing 'global warming' to description of 'climate change' after email revealed the “climate” scientists/experts that the original model for the climate phenomenon was defective, covering it up and continuing to insist that climate and weather has degraded due to human activity. Politicians attempt to make people believe that government, through legislation, intrusive laws and more taxation will change natural weather and climate cycles that has been going on throughout Earth's history.

The bill mainly concerns ammunition ('projectiles') in a handgun that could penetrate body armor; but it also provides the Attorney General with dangerous authority:

Sec. 2(b)(3) … The Attorney General shall assess the standards every 3 years, or more frequently if the Attorney General finds that technological advances warrant doing so, and shall modify the standards as appropriate.

This provides the US Attorney General authority that only Congress is supposed to have and most certainly ignores the will of the people or respect for the Second Amendment.

As the NRA Institute for Legislative Action put it:

Just three months ago, Barack Obama and his anti-gun bureaucrats at BATFE moved to ban one of the most popular cartridges for the most popular rifle in America, the AR-15. … However, NRA-ILA supporters voiced outrage to Congress and BATFE with letters and petitions. And we forced the Obama administration to delay their ammo ban … for now. … Obama's BATFE has declared that it will pursue “additional proposals and opportunities” to outlaw your ammunition. Obama himself recently promised to “keep chipping away at this” until his ammo ban becomes law of the land.

President Obama and his comrades have consistently “chipped away” our sacred articles and amendments of the US Constitution since he first took office in 2009. Indeed, he covered up the tragic scandal concerning the death of an ambassador and those who tried to protect him, so it would not ruin his chance at a second term. Remember when he promised in his 2008 campaign that if he did not succeed in fixing the economic mess that he would not seek a second term? Yeah, right. Dictatorially-minded leaders do not relinquish power.

Write and/or call your representative and ensure this bill i(H.R. 1454) is never passed. We need to regain constitutional rights, have a constitutionally limited government, and state governments that adhere to constitutional law – rule of law. 
Don't forget to tell your representative and senators to pass HR 1953 -- the No Exemption for Washington from Obamacare Act. If the Affordable Healthcare Act is so great, why are they exempting themselves and their employees?
