Lt Commander Montel Williams: Bring Sgt Tahmooressi Home Now

Sgt Tahmooressi is a US Marine hero and his story should be well known to most Americans today. He represents forgotten veterans. He represents that our foreign policy is bankrupt, because we cater to the Mexican government, our southern neighbor, who encourages its people to cross the border illegally being told it is justified because the United States illegally possesses Mexican real estate. The Mexican government criticizes our immigration system and Americans who insist that the border be secured so ranches just north of that border do not have to fear property destruction, home invasion and other despicable violent crimes.
Lt Commander Montel Williams, USN Retired made a stirring speech [ video at end of article] before a congressional committee in a plea to retrieve Sgt Tahmooressi from the brutal and despicable Mexican prison he is being held in. He was joined in support of Williams by Jill Tahmooressi, Sgt Robert Buchanan, USMC, retired; and Chief Executive Officer for Concerned Veterans for America, Pete Hegseth. All testified on behalf of Sgt Tahmooressi. Despite allegations toward the CVA, the issue about Sgt Tahmooressi is urgent and requires attention.

While House of Representative members did what they could to convince the Mexican government to order the release of Sgt Tahmooressi, it is ultimately the task of the President of the United States, who is also the Commander-in-Chief of the US Armed Forces. He has not even made a phone call on behalf of a soldier that swore an oath upon enlistment to obey the orders of the President of the United States.
President Obama portrays himself as a savior of Mexican illegal immigrants, reasons proclaimed, but in touch with reality of his and his political party comrades.
Representative Ted Poe (R-TX) introduced H.Res 620, which calls for …
...the Government of Mexico to immediately release United States Marine Sgt Andrew Tahmooressi and provide for his swift return to the United States.
The resolution currently has 81 co-sponsors that include members of both political parties.
Representative Tom Marino (R-PA) wrote a letter to the Mexican Ambassador. He told Jill Tahmooressi …
You, your son, and veterans deserve more, have a right to more, and we need to see that that is accomplished. I apologize for how inappropriately you have been treated, and I apologize for the inappropriate level of concern by the White House … I am disappointed that you have to be here today, ma'am. And I'm disappointed that vets have not received the appropriate care that they should be receiving in this country.
President Obama released five murdering terrorists for one soldier who deserted his post, which caused him to be captured by Afghanistan Islamic Jihadists; yet he has done nothing to get back a war hero from a government and neighboring nation that is supposed to be our 'friend'.
Call your representatives and senators and the White House office and DEMAND that Sgt Tahmooressi be released immediately and returned home so he can get proper treatment by the VA.
Sgt Tahmooressi is not only a victim of Mexican government oppression and hypocrisy, at the mercy of their infamous prison system; but a victim of a president who does not perform his duties as commander-in-chief and President of the United States – not caring about constitutional law or the welfare of those who swear allegiance to him and the United States and serving to fight against Islamic Jihadists; caring more for illegal aliens than his own service members. If this is how Democratic Party members treat the members of US Armed Forces, than that party should not hold majority in either the Senate or the House of Representatives.
The beginning of real 'Change' can take place this November by voters voting responsibly in choosing members of Congress in this election year – and demanding that true reformation take place on Capitol Hill and within the White House and its departments and agencies.
A President and Commander-in-Chief should never have to wait for public outcry or congressional actions in cases like Sgt Tahmooressi - he should have investigated the circumstances as soon as it hit the news wire and made appropriate actions, first of all, calling his mother to reassure her that appropriate actions would be taken to get her son back home.
For you starry-eyed Obama fans, this is not racism against Obama ... he spoke up and out of turn about Trayvon Martin  and Michael Brown. Enuff said.
Former President GW Bush continues helping vets, while this president cannot make a phone call within six months. This president has no shame nor honor.
Bring Sgt Tahmooressi home NOW.
Save our Republic and save Sgt Tahmooressi.
Every government degenerates when trusted to the rulers of the people alone. The people themselves, therefore, are it's only safe depositories. --Thomas Jefferson
