NSSF (National Shooting Sports Foundation) has honored US Rep. Bob Latta (R-Ohio) as its
2013 Legislator of the Year during the firearms industry's annual
Congressional Fly-In in Washington, DC. He was instrumental in the
introduction last fall of the Sportsmen's Heritage and Recreational Enhancement Act. It was a legislative package to
safeguard and promote America's hunting and fishing traditions.
Latta is co-chairman of the
Congressional Sportsmen's Caucus and advocate of hunter,
sportsmen and sportswomen's issues. The bill passed early this year
in the House and Latta has worked diligently with the Senate to pass
the policies into law to continue outdoor legacies of American
heritage and traditions.
